Supported Database Servers

VisNetic MailFlow stores nearly all of its data, including messages and configuration data, in an ODBC-compliant database. VisNetic MailFlow presently supports the following Database Servers.

• Microsoft SQL Server 2008R2, 2012, 2014, 2016, 2017 and 2019
• Microsoft SQL Server Express 2008R2, 2012, 2014, 2016, 2017 and 2019 (Free)

Each version of SQL Express also has a separate download for the SQL Managment Studio. It is highly recommended that you download and install the relevant SQL Management Studio for your version of SQL Server.

Important Note About Web Services

VisNetic MailFlow is a web-based application, and therefore requires that a web server be installed in order to run. Microsoft IIS (which comes free with Windows) should be installed with the ISAPI Extensions feature prior to installing VisNetic MailFlow. The VisNetic MailFlow installation will configure the web server automatically.
